FAQ

Questions, answered

How fit do I need to be?

The route is about 5 km, and only 4 km or so of it is actually running — temple grounds are walked, and we stop often for photos and stories. If you can jog 5 km at an easy pace, you'll be fine.

What if I'm worried about the pace? Can I walk?

We keep a conversational pace and adjust to the slowest runner. Walk whenever you want to. This is a tour, not a training session.

What happens if it rains?

Light rain: we run — Asakusa on a wet morning is not a bad sight. Heavy weather: free date change or a full refund, your choice.

What should I bring?

Shoes and clothes you can run in, plus a pocket or small pouch for your phone. We plan to end the tour with breakfast at a café.

Where do we meet and finish?

We meet at 6:00 in front of Kaminarimon (5:30 in midsummer, to beat the heat) and part around 8:45 at a café in Kuramae. Meet on site, part on site.

How big are the groups?

Small — 2 to 6 runners per departure.

What language is the tour in?

Japanese and English.

When can I book?

We're in beta and walking the final rehearsals now. Email us and we'll tell you the moment dates open.
